SEISA Kokusai Gymnastics Team of Shonan and Yokohama Wins in Kanagawa, Both Qualify for Inter-High School Championships!

On Sunday, June 20, 2021, the SEISA Kokusai Shonan Gymnastics Team and the SEISA Kokusai Yokohama Gymnastics Team competed in the final prefectural qualifying round of the National High School Gymnastics Competition, held at the Kanagawa Prefectural Sports Center. The SEISA Kokusai Shonan gymnastics team (TASHIRO, HARAGUCHI, SEKIZUKA, SUZUKI) won the overall team title, while Aoi TASHIRO (SEISA Kokusai Shonan, 1st year) and Shinnosuke OKA (SEISA Kokusai Yokohama, senior) won the individual gymnastics titles respectively.

In addition, Aoi TASHIRO (1st year, SEISA Kokusai Shonan), Mirai SUZUKI (2nd year, SEISA Kokusai Shonan), Yui SEKIZUKA (2nd year, SEISA Kokusai Yokohama), and Shinnosuke OKA (senior, SEISA Kokusai Yokohama) were also selected to represent Kanagawa Prefecture at the National Athletic Meet.

Yuri OKIYAMA and Haruna OKIYAMA, who participated in the qualifying round as individuals, have also joined the team as alternates, and will continue to practice with the aim of achieving a podium finish. The athletes expressed their enthusiasm, saying, "We will try our best to make the podium as a team! They are very enthusiastic.

All students, whether they are enrolled in the full-time or correspondence course, are encouraged by the performance of these athletes as they take on the challenge of competing across the country and around the world.
