SEISA's e-Sports with Differences. SEISA Holds 2nd SEISA Olympics in Innovative Category
SEISA students all over Japan, from junior high school to high school, competed online in e-Sports. The event was designed to help students gain confidence by building up successful experiences through their favorite activities and making friends. The SEISA Olympics in Hokkaido was held on Friday, January 15, 2021, with the "SEISA Innovative Category" as one of the competitions.
This year, 213 students from 12 schools and 169 spectators from all over Japan, Hokkaido to Osaka, in addition to students living in Jakarta, Indonesia and abroad participated in the event. It was an exciting day of competition, with students from different grades and locations competing in the same event online.
All the respective games were of a high level, and the students showed consideration for their opponents, not only when it came to winning or losing, but also when it came to problems with the internet and equipment. It was very moving to see the drama of each student's development and to feel the warmth of the space created by everyone through the new virtual stage of e-Sports, with people cheering on the players and taking care of those who were unfamiliar with the game.
It gives and creates the opportunities - a chance to come to school, attend classes, to make friends, and to think about life. SEISA believes that games and e-Sports are one of the ways for students to grow up. There is no student who does not change. We will continue to provide opportunities for each and every student to shine.
Thank you to all participants, and to the SEISA Kokusai High School Hachioji student staff who supported the online streaming. We will see you next year!
