Yuma KAGIYAMA, SEISA Kokusai High School, Wins First Inter-High School Figure Skating Championship! Sakurako TABATA Will Try The Women's Free Skate Tomorrow.

Yuma KAGIYAMA (2nd year, SEISA Kokusai High School Yokohama) and Sakurako TABATA (1st year, SEISA Kokusai High School Yokohama) are participating in the 70th National High School Skating Championships, which started on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Big Hat multi-purpose sports arena in Nagano.

 

 

Tanabe came in 4th place in the Women's Short Program on Thursday the 21st, and qualified for the Free Program on Sunday the 24th. Her performance will be streamed on the Internet. We look forward to your support.

 

 

In the Men's Short Program on Friday, 22nd, KAGIYAMA scored 88.91 points, the highest score in his career, despite the sound stopping in the middle of the program. Today, Saturday the 23rd, he competed in the free program. He has grown from a challenger to a pursuer, and under tremendous pressure, he won the Free Program as well, making his first appearance at the Inter-High School and his first victory.
