SEISA students from all over Japan participated in the Inter-High School Tournament, the National Part-time Correspondence Course High School Athletic Meet, and the National High School Cultural Federation (Zenkoku Kotougakkobun Karenmei, abbreviation: Kobunren). And more news are coming up.

A few days ago, a SEISA student from the SEISA Kokusai Tokyo Soccer Team made another great achievement. Ms. Nanao TONOUCHI, a 2nd year student of SEISA Kokusai Yokohama Kamoi, took 2nd place in the 52nd Kendo competition at the National Part-time Correspondence Course High School Athletic Meet was held at the Rohto Arena Nara, Nara Prefecture on August 3rd, 2021. Ms. TONOUCHI's achievement was well received by students and teachers from all over Japan, including SEISA Kokusai Yokohama Kamoi. Congratulations to Ms. TONOUCHI!

SEISA is committed to providing a wide range of opportunities for students to participate in various activities, from sports to art, from Inter High School to regular correspondence courses. Not only participating in the competition, but also supporting and cheering for the athletes is an important part of learning.

Mr. Satoshi KUBOKI, who has been an advisor and coach of the Kendo Club for over 30 years in SEISA, has also served as an official for various tournaments.

This year's tournament was scheduled to be held at the Nippon Budokan, but due to the Tokyo 2020 Games, the venue has been changed.

In the first match, she won by striking from her own position. She was able to move her body with her footwork to ease the tension.

In the first match, she won by striking from her own spacing. Ms. TONOUCHI is not the type of kendo player who attacks hard, but the type of player who uses her de-ba-na technique to get an effective strike when her opponent is attacking.

She has good kendo ability, but she had to adjust her energy, concentration, stamina and hydration to win the second place.

In the final, her opponent did not come out to attack, and when Ms. TONOUCHI came in time and hit a MEN, it became a GOMEN, which was a valid strike for her opponent.

We would like to thank you for your support.
