The 7th sTED - SEISA Transnational Education Design - is a Global Presentation Competition

カテゴリー:SEISA NEWS(EN)

On Saturday, 13th November 2021, the 7th SEISA Africa Asia Bridge (SAAB) 2021 took place, connecting countries across Japan, Africa and Asia.

The "sTED" (SEISA Transnational Education Design) program, the main feature of the SAAB, is a presentation of "KYOSEI" (living together in harmony), incorporating SEISA‘s Three Guiding Principles of "Understand Each Other, Leave Nobody Out, and Make Friends". SEISA students from across Japan including junior and senior high school students, as well as elementary and junior high school students from nearby areas, gathered together to discuss the connection with Africa and Asia, and the UN's SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). They will give the presentations based on the results of their researches and practices.

We hope that sTED will become a driving force for the realization of a KYOSEI society in the world. There are graduates who have participated in sTED since their school days, and after graduation they have studied hard for their exams and have come close to being in a position to support their country at the heart of Japan. There is also a graduate who was not interested in the SDGs at all, but through SAAB, he learned about it and said that he wanted to make it his lifelong theme. We believe this shows the essence and effectiveness of this programme.

This year again, SEISA schools across Japan entered the competition, and in the preliminary round of the national competition, six teams from SEISA Kokusai Hamamatsu, SEISA Nagoya Junior High, SEISA Gakuen Hokuto, SEISA High School (two teams) and SEISA Kokusai Atsugi advanced to the final. At the final stage on the day of the SAAB, the students competed with each other for the top spot in the national competition. Under strict judging by university professors, local residents and embassy officials, SEISA Kokusai Atsugi was crowned the champion.

Students learn and grow through presentations, and become part of social change by appealing to the world. SEISA’s flagship class, sTED 2021, can be viewed in the archive.
