SEISA to Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games - Realization of KYOSEI (Living Together in Harmony) Society Through Sports

Many students from Bhutan, Eritrea, Myanmar and other countries study under SEISA's high school and university programs.

For example, Mr. Nidup Dorji and Ms. Sonam Choden, both senior year students from Bhutan, graduated from SEISA Kokusai Shonan the last spring. While at school, they were members of the archery club. When they first came to Japan, they did not know archery or the language, and could not even do a single push-up, but they worked hard day in and day out, and in the end grew up to be able to compete with the Bhutanese national team, one of the best in the prefecture.

It was their first time to represent their country in Japan, and they continued to learn and challenge themselves for the sake of their country. Thanks to the support of everyone who worked with us, we were able to keep going until the end. Training camps with the Japanese national team in Korea and at the National Training Center. I was able to deepen my relationship with the players of the Elite Academy and make many friends.

Mr. Kaung Khant Oo, Ms. Su Myat Myat Naing and Mr. Htet Yamin Oo are students studying with SEISA Kokusai Shonan. The three students, who are members of the karate club, are working hard in their studies and sports, aiming to learn the Japanese spirit and SEISA spirit through karate, and to spread it back to their home countries.

Mr. Tandin and Mr. Kinley are both 3rd year students of the Judo Club at SEISA Dohto University, and together with Mr. Ngawang, is representing Bhutan at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

They study under SEISA nationwide, in a remote country far away from home, while deepening their relationship with their Japanese friends. They are in constant contact with their classmates and juniors from the same Bhutan, and improve each other daily.

Mr. Dejen, an athlete student from Eritrea, enrolled in SEISA Kokusai Shonan and competed in the long distance the track and field. In the year 2020, he was selected to be sent to the Kanto Student Athletics Federation. He has a bright future ahead of him. He is challenging every day with his friends in a very different running environment.

SEISA has been providing a wide range of support programs for athletes and students from various countries. In addition, the SEISA Group's sports scholarship program has been linked to the official "Olympic Special Program" established by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC). We will continue to use the Tokyo 2020 as an opportunity for further support and exchange into the future.
