カテゴリー:SEISA NEWS(EN)

Mr. GAN, former director of the Hiratsuka City Museum and a visiting researcher and curator with SEISA University since spring 2020, will present a lecture entitled "Mr. Gan's Sky Class".

There are many interesting astronomical and cultural phenomena to watch this summer and autumn.

In this Sky Class, we will look at the characteristics of the three planets of our solar system - Venus, Jupiter and Saturn - and deepen our understanding of their motions so that we can recognize them and the constellations behind them.

We will learn about the links between the universe and life, from the perspective and senses of the sky (celestial bodies) and the earth, and the earth and people. By studying the connections between the various phenomena, students will develop the habit of self-inquiry.

Date and Time: Thursday, August 26th, 2021, 19:00 - 20:00 *To be held online

Speaker: Mr. Hiromichi GAN, Visiting Researcher (Curator), SEISA University, Former Director of Hiratsuka City Museum
