On January 16th, 2022, Yuka UENO, a graduate of the Kawaguchi Fencing Club of SEISA Kokusai High School, represented Japan in the Women's Fleuret Team at the World Cup in Poland. Following Japan's first World Cup runner-up finish in December last year (2021), she contributed to the second consecutive runner-up finish.

Ueno has been aiming for the top of the world since she was a student at the school, winning the World Cadet Championships and the Junior Championships in two categories (U17 and U20) for the first time in history.

At this summer's Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, she was the 6th best Japanese female individual finisher, and she continues to make steady progress towards the next Games in Paris (2024). We look forward to your continued support.
